The Goathland Hotel is pretty much in the centre of the village, the Steam train station is out our doors to the right, a 2 minute walk. Out our doors to the left are the village shops and post office, a 2 minute walk.  

We are also directly opposite what is knows as Scripp's Garage in the Heartbeat series.

We are within nine miles from Whitby. The historic market towns of Pickering and Malton are a short drive.
The Goathland Hotel can be reached by car from the Whitby to Pickering road (A169).
